A “Give Back” Surprise!

This year, our Give Back Goal is working on the outdoor eating area right outside of the cafeteria. We already have a few picnic tables set up but as a PTO, we knew how important more seating would be for our kids. They really love eating outside whenever the weather allows it! Our big vision for this space where our current picnic tables are is to be paved; stay tuned for that!!

First and foremost, we'd like to thank Mike Shupp for his time and travel during pick up and drop-off at school as well as Ed and Lori for the use of their trailer which aided us in picking them up. The picnic tables we chose are made out of a beautiful and sturdy polywood material so they'll withstand the elements AND our kids! We had direct contact with Marshall Horan, owner of Allegheny Poly based out of Warren, PA. He made the process of selecting style and color very easy and seamless. If you're ever in the market for quality outdoor furniture, we highly recommend this small, family owned company.

As a PTO, we purchased 2 tables and the 4th grade class of 2022 purchased an additional table with funds they had left from their end of year celebration! This is exactly why we do what we do for our school! I'm sure your kids have talked about how much they enjoy eating outside, even on the days they weren't able to get a seat at the table and sat in the grass instead. We know firsthand how much it'll be appreciated. We are very much looking forward to the students using them this week!
